Social Media Meditation: What would a Twitter from God look like?

Posted on 31. May, 2008 by in Social Media

When I started to write this post, I thought it would be easy to come up with what God would Twitter. I eventually gave up trying to be theologically perfect and just cranked it out. The exercise of trying to figure it out turned out to be a pretty good meditation.

What do you think God would Twitter?

The evidence is all around you, and inside you. No need to ask for more!

God: I sent @Jesus to die on the cross for your sin. @HolySpirit working through the Word of @Jesus to create faith. Believe in @Jesus and live forever… in the name of @Father @Son and @HolySpirit. Amen.

Ok so it’s too long but @God can do whatever he wants after all.

This is all Gospel… That’s what God would be (is always) talking about.

I think God “twitters” us all the time. We are just not logged in.

Had those same thoughts not too long ago. “What Would Jesus Tweet” I believe your “tweet” is right on target.

Love what you’re doing with your blog. Churches and ministry-related organizations have so much opportunity to use technology to reach the world for Christ. Kudos!

I think this just about sums it up. I guess that means evangelism is like getting folks to sign up with Twitter! That’s a model that deserves some thought!
